Workshops

From syllabus to Grade Center

The Grade Center is the mathematical heart of Blackboard. Every assignment, assessment, or activity is stored in this online spreadsheet. Becoming proficient in the use of advanced Grade Center features such as Smart Views, Color Codes, and Calculated Columns can greatly reduce the time you spend entering data and explaining the results to your students. In this workshop, we'll explore each of these features and examin how they can be applied to your curriculum.

Requirements

You'll need a syllabus and a course site to take full advantage of this session. Contact IDS if you need a development shell set up.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Set up grade center columns
  • Collect and score assignments through the Grade Center
