Russell W. Davidson

A long time member of the Instructional Design Studio Team, Russ provides web and database design support to faculty in the development of courses. He was lead designer for the entirely web-delivered Online BSN Completion program. He designed, built, and continues to support the Libraries/Instructional Design Studio's Re:Search portal. He has developed and run numerous IDS workshops, and continues to help UDM faculty develop a wide variety of online course content both on and off Blackboard. Russ also serves as webmaster for the Women's National Book Association Detroit Chapter site, and previously served as webmaster for the WNBA National site.

Russ received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Lit from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1997. He received a Master of Library and Information Science and a graduate certificate in Information Management for Librarians from Wayne State University in 2010.  Mr. Davidson was honored in 2008 as one of the Libraries/IDS Employees of the Year for his "Creativity, Leadership and Innnovative Design" work.  He joined the Libraries/Instructional Design Studio in 1998.

Anthony worked in the Instructional Design Studio as an Instructional Designer from January 2001 until February 2006. During this time, he supported Blackboard users, and hosted numerous IDS workshops. Anthony also built and served as webmaster for such sites as the Women's National Book Association Detroit Chapter, as well as the Women's National Book Association National Site.

During his absence from UDM, Anthony served as an IT co-ordinator / Network Administrator with Steve's European Automotive, Inc. for 2 years which helped him advance in his computing skills. Upon his return to the University, one of Anthony's many plans include obtaining his degree in the Digital Media Studies program offered at UDM.

Linda W. Papa

Linda will provide web and database design support to faculty in the development of courses. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronic Critique from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2002.

Linda began working in the History Department at UDM part time before graduation to help establish the Black Abolitionist Archive online database. This special collection is now available online through the UDM library's web site.

Before moving to Michigan in 2000, Linda worked for Citicorp Datasystems, Inc., in San Antonio, Texas. She joined Citicorp in 1991, and held a variety of positions before assuming her role as an Instructional Designer in 1996. Before joining Citicorp, Linda worked in a training capacity at La Quinta Motor Inns, Inc., where she wrote and published several training manuals.

"I believe that to provide quality online training, the focus must be on the user. My goal is to remain a perpetual student, so that what I offer in training is current, fresh, and applicable to a dynamic environment."

Ms. Papa was honored in 2008 as one of the Libraries/IDS Employees of the Year for her "Creativity, Leadership and innovative Design" work.
