Nurse, Director, Division of Health Education, Detroit Department of Health 1942 Citation: Graduate as Registered Nurse of St. Agnes Hospital School of Nurses, Philadelphia; Alumna of University of Detroit, University of Michigan and Wayne University, Fellow of the American Public Health Association, who as private nurse, instructor of nurses, Red Cross worker, director of nursing and health education, has become experienced in the entire field of public health and by writing, teaching, and organizing has notably contributed to the promotion of its objectives; who as Director of the Division of Health Education of the Detroit Department of Health, has made the vast and heterogeneous population of this city more and more conscious of health problems, and has thus significantly advanced its level of public health; is recommended for the Honorary Degree of Master of Arts in Health Education.
