A man whose dynamic leadership in industry has been mirrored in service to humanity in many areas, a forerunner in ecumenism as a Catholic who contributed his resources to the institutions of many faiths in Detroit in the 1920's, a standard bearer for the cause of better care for the sick, the aged, and the unfortunate, a staunch friend of education at all levels, Edward F. Fisher is the epitome of the citizen-leader.
It is with great pleasure that I present to you this citation and medal and I hereby declare you recipient of the President's Cabinet Award.
