Educator 1929 Citation: Upon Frank Charles Sweeney, Educator, for that he has always given an outstanding example of the training of youth for God and Country, for that in this he has led them by his own example of uprightness and probity, for that he has distinguished himself as a promoter of all sane progress in education, for that unswayed by considerations of personal interest or public opinion he has always stood for justice and against educational legislation that would be unfair to any section of our citizens, the University of Detroit confers the degree of Doctor of Laws, for the sake of honor.
