Freeman, John
This will be a PowerPoint presentation. It will involve an exploration of the holographic dimensions of Jan van Eyck's Arnolfini Portrait.
I will demonstrate that holography explains many of the visual effects van Eyck achieves here. As a model of how we process and store
memories, holography also provides a model for van Eyck's attempts to memorialize this scene in creating a space/time continuum
that includes both the author and his viewing audience.
Ideally, I would like to be able to offer this as screen projection because of the nature of the project.
