In January 2008, the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry relocated to the inner city of Detroit. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of Dental School relocation on the number of pediatric clinical procedures performed by dental students. Methods: A total of 75 student charts from year 2006 (old location, group 1) were compared to a matching number of charts from 2008 (new location, group 2). The number of clinical procedures for the two groups were counted and compared. Results: The findings showed that the third year dental students performed more pediatric clinical procedures at the new location compared to the previous location.
