Incorporating Service Learning Within A Professional Nursing Curriculum Toward the Development of Leadership Skills.

The purpose of this presentation is to describe how to incorporate service learning within a professional nursing curriculum and to explain how the experience enriches the student’s self-awareness towards the development of leadership skills.

The target audience for this presentation is  faculty who teach nursing at the baccalaureate level. Emphasis is place on preparing nursing students to become involved in their community and profession by incorporating leadership development skills into nursing courses throughout the curriculum.
