The purpose of this investigation was to obtain the views of faculty and students at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry (UDMSOD) on the future of e-book technology as it applied to e-teaching and e-learning. A similar study was conducted at the Louisiana State University to get the opinion about student experiences with e-books. Their results indicated a substantial level of interest in the use of e-books and their ability to search specific topics. As e-books become more prevalent, more user-friendly, and less expensive, should we consider adopting this evolving technology for our faculty and students?
