This comprehensive electronic collection gives researchers immediate, Web-based access to 1,279 works by 274 writers from the Reformation and post-Reformation eras. These works include the theological writings of more than 300 Protestant authors, as well as a wide range of confessional documents, biblical commentaries, polemical treatises, and Bible translations. When complete, this collection will give scholars access to over 1500 works, all primary source material from the 16th and 17th centuries. Into one extensive, fully searchable collection we have gathered all the key catechisms, scholarly treatises, papal documents, devotional works, and theological volumes that sparked and sustained the reform from within the Catholic Church in the heady years before, during, and after the landmark decrees of the Council of Trent. The collection currently includes 845 titles by 277 authors.

This site, managed by the American Educational Research Association Special Interest Group for Communication of Research includes only links to electronic journals that are scholarly, peer-reviewed, full text and accessible without cost. The organization excludes professional magazines that are largely not refereed, and commercial journals that may only allow access to a very limited number of articles as an enticement to buy. By restricting inclusion in this way on the list that follows, the AERA SIG hopes to promote free access world wide to scholarship in education.
AGRICOLA (AGRICultural OnLine Access) is a bibliographic database created by the National Agricultural Library (NAL) and its cooperators. Production of these records in electronic form began in 1970, but the database covers materials in all formats, including printed works from the 15th century. The records describe publications and resources encompassing all aspects of agriculture and allied disciplines, including animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, forestry, aquaculture and fisheries, farming and farming systems, agricultural economics, extension and education, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental sciences. The AGRICOLA database does not contain full text articles, but thousands of AGRICOLA records are linked to full-text documents online; new links are added daily. AGRICOLA includes the NAL Catalog, containing citations to books, audiovisual materials, serial publications, and other materials in the NAL collection and NAL's Article Citation Database, containing citations, many with abstracts, to journal articles, book chapters, reports, and reprints, selected primarily from the materials found in the NAL Catalog. The database is updated daily.
This is a full-text collection of 10 large circulation popular news magazines, covering fields of business, entertainment, lifestyle, news, science & technology, and sports. Coverage goes back to at least 2002, and in some titles as early as 1985. Titles include: Newsweek (1991-date), Slate (1996-date), and US News and World Report (1993-date). The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals offers a comprehensive listing of journal articles published worldwide on architecture and design, archaeology, city planning, interior design, and historic preservation. There are no full text articles, but many citations contain notes or summaries. The index links to full text areticles in Wilson Select Plus. Avery indexes not only the international scholarly and popular periodical literature, but also the publications of professional associations, US state and regional periodicals, and the major serial publications on architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. Expanded coverage includes obituary citations providing an excellent source of biographical data, often the only information available for less-published architects. Coverage is from the 1930s (with selective coverage dating back to the 1860s) to the present. The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals is updated weekly. Currently more than 2,800 journals are indexed, with over 600,000 records in the database.

Biography and Genealogy Master Index enables users to locate biographical entries contained in more than 2,000 volumes and editions of important current and retrospective biographical reference sources. This index contains citations that point to over 17 million biographies on nearly 5 million people, living and deceased, from all time periods, geographical locations, and fields of endeavor.
Blackwell Synergy titles are now included in the Wiley Interscience database. Blackwell Synergy contains the online versions of more than 870 scholarly journals published by Blackwell. As of July, 2008, nearly 885,000 full text Blackwell articles are included. Full text is available for all of these journals from at least 2001 (except for new journals) and coverage for some goes back to the 1970s. Listings and indexing on InterScience include ALL Wiley journals as well as the former Blackwell Synergy titles, but with few exceptions, only the Blackwell titles are availaible in full text.

CAMIO® — OCLC's Catalog of Art Museum Images Online — is a growing online collection documenting works of art from around the world, representing the collections of prominent museums. CAMIO highlights the creative output of cultures around the world, from prehistoric to contemporary times, and covering the complete range of expressive forms. Currently the collection includes over 95,000 images.
CAMIO is licensed for use by students, faculty, and researchers at subscribing institutions. Works of art may be used for educational and research purposes during the term of the subscription, if they are properly credited. Images may not be published or otherwise distributed.
Free (public) database
This is the official U.S. Census Bureau website, providing information about the upcoming 2010 census and access to the 2000 census data. In addition to the standard census tables in the general categories of people and households, business and industry, and geography, the site also provides access to survey and sample data. Information includes anonymous data from many social, financial and medical studies that are conducted by the Bureau of the Census. Population clocks show U.S. and World population estimates updated minute-to-minute.
CCRIS is a toxicology data file of the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Toxicology Data Network (TOXNET®). It is a scientifically evaluated and fully referenced data bank, developed and maintained by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It contains over 9,000 chemical records with carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, tumor promotion, and tumor inhibition test results. Data are derived from studies cited in primary journals, current awareness tools, NCI reports, and other special sources. Test results have been reviewed by experts in carcinogenesis and mutagenesis.
ChemIDplus is a free, web-based search system that provides access to structure and nomenclature authority files used for the identification of chemical substances cited in National Library of Medicine (NLM) databases, including the TOXNET® system. ChemIDplus also provides structure searching and direct links to many biomedical resources at NLM and on the Internet for chemicals of interest. The database contains over 380,000 chemical records, of which over 289,000 include chemical structures, and is searchable by Name, Synonym, CAS Registry Number, Molecular Formula, Classification Code, Locator Code, Structure, Toxicity, and/or Physical properties.

The Dietary Supplements Labels Database offers information about ingredients in more than two thousand selected brands of dietary supplements. It enables users to determine what ingredients are in specific brands and to compare ingredients in different brands. Information is also provided on the health benefits claimed by manufacturers. These claims by manufacturers have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Companies may not market as dietary supplements any products that are intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

EconLit, published by the American Economic Association, provides bibliographic coverage of a wide range of economics-related literature. An expanded version of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) indexes of journals, books, and dissertations, EconLit covers both economic theory and application.
Literature covered is of interest to researchers, academics, product managers, advertisers, product development specialists, and public policy professionals. EconLit includes information that is of prime relevance to many industries and research establishments world-wide.

It is produced by the Modern Language Association (MLA), an organization dedicated to the study and teaching of language and literature. The electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1925 and contains over 2 million citations from more than 4,400 periodicals (including peer-reviewed e-journals) and 1,000 book publishers. It is compiled by the staff of the MLA Department of Bibliographic Information Services with the cooperation of more than 100 contributing bibliographers in the United States and abroad.
The database also has an identifiable subset of more than 100,000 records that constitute the JSTOR subfile. This consists of citation records for documents in JSTOR's Language and Literature Collection as well as relevant articles from their Asian Studies collection. PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides access to over 11 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related materials.

Highwire Press is a collaborative effort that incorporates online journals from many publishers. This links directly to the publisher listing. Sanborn® fire insurance maps are detailed property and land-use records covering more than 12,000 U.S.towns and cities. Founded in 1867 by D. A. Sanborn, the Sanborn Map Company was the primary American publisher of fire maps for over 100 years, repeatedly mapping towns and cities as they changed. The maps provide a wealth of information, such as building outline, size and shape, construction materials, height, building use, windows and doors, street and sidewalk widths, boundaries, house numbers, and more. The plans often include information and shading for steel beams or reinforced walls, plus symbols for stables, garages, warehouses, etc. Factories are labeled with the owner's name, as well as the products manufactured there. In large industrial and commercial buildings, even individual rooms and their uses are recorded. Also depicted are pipelines, railroads, wells, water mains, dumps, and heavy machinery likely to affect the property's vulnerability to earthquake, fire, and flood. UDM has access to Michigan maps.

Blackwell Synergy titles are now included in the Wiley Interscience database. Blackwell Synergy contains the online versions of more than 870 scholarly journals published by Blackwell. As of July, 2008, nearly 885,000 full text Blackwell articles are included. Full text is available for all of these journals from at least 2001 (except for new journals) and coverage for some goes back to the 1970s. Listings and indexing on InterScience include ALL Wiley journals as well as the former Blackwell Synergy titles, but with few exceptions, only the Blackwell titles are availaible in full text.
