Paul Krugman

Paul Krugman, a professor at Princeton University and a columnist for the New York Times, is the Nobel Prize Winner in Economics for 2008. Mr. Krugman earned his PhD at MIT and has taught at Yale and Stanford. His prize-winning work is in the area of international trade and economic geography.

Elinor Ostrom

Elinor Ostrom is one of the recipients of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economics. She received the award for "her analysis of economic governance, especially the commons". Ostrom is the first woman to win the prize in this category. She is currently Arthur F. Bentley Professor of Political Science and Senior Research Director of the Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis both at Indiana University. She is Founding Director of the Center for the Study of Institutional Diversity at Arizona State University in Tempe Arizona. Ostrom received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.

Oliver E. Williamson

Oliver E. Williamson is one of the recipients of the Nobel Prize in Economics for 2009. He received the award for "his analysis of economic governance, especially the boundaries of the firm". He is currently Edgar F. Kaiser Professor Emeritus of Business, Economics and Law, at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his B.S. from MIT, an MBA from Stanford and a Ph.D. in Economics from Carnegie-Mellon.
