The ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to provide extensive access to educational-related literature. In addition, ERIC provides coverage of conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs. Currently the ERIC database contains over 1.2 million records. Abiout 400,000 ERIC docuemnts are full text.

PsycINFO , from the American Psychological Association (APA), contains nearly 2.3 million citations and summaries of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, all in psychology and related disciplines, dating as far back as the 1800s. 97 percent of the covered material is peer-reviewed. Journal coverage, which spans 1887 to present, includes international material selected from more than 2,100 periodicals in more than 25 languages.

Education: A SAGE Full-Text Collection includes the full text of 36 peer-reviewed journals published by SAGE and participating societies distinguished by more than 40 years of backfiles for some titles.

It covers such subject areas as: Adult and Continuing Education, Educational Administration, Educational Policy, Elementary and Primary Education, High School and Secondary Education, Higher Education, International Education, Leadership, Measurement and Testing, Multicultural Education and Diversity, Professional Development, Teaching and Instruction, Teaching Methods.

The searchable database consists of bibliographic records (indexed summaries or abstracts) as well as the complete text of each journal article. Every bibliographic record in the Collection links to the appropriate full-text in PDF format.

Education students will be pleased at the amount of scholarly articles in PsycInfo which pertain to educational topics, such as special education, autism, classroom management, etc.

Blackwell Synergy titles are now included in the Wiley Interscience database. Blackwell Synergy contains the online versions of more than 870 scholarly journals published by Blackwell. As of July, 2008, nearly 885,000 full text Blackwell articles are included. Full text is available for all of these journals from at least 2001 (except for new journals) and coverage for some goes back to the 1970s. Listings and indexing on InterScience include ALL Wiley journals as well as the former Blackwell Synergy titles, but with few exceptions, only the Blackwell titles are availaible in full text.

Provides full-text of nearly 1900 journals published by Elsevier and its subsidiaries. Beginning coverage for journals varies, but most start in 1995 or 1996 and continue to the most recent issue. For many titles, articles in press are also available. Most journals are in the fields of science, technology or medicine, but journals in the social sciences, humanities and business are also included. The title holdings listed in "Full Text Journals in UDM Databases" show the start date for journals included in the Science Direct Freedom Collection; for most dates prior to 1995, only abstracts are available.
