Founded in 1916, the Detroit Urban League's purpose is to meet the needs of the community through, employment counseling, referral and placement, nutritional programs for child and adult care, health care and drug and violence awareness programs. The mission of the Detroit Urban League is to enable African Americans and other persons of color to achieve their fullest human potential. Volunteer participation welcomed.
