Mission & Vision
Mission Statement:
The Libraries/Instructional Design Studio are partners in the educational process, providing access to resources to serve primarily the educational and information needs of students, faculty, and staff of the University. The Libraries/Instructional Design Studio support the commitment to the community by providing access to collections for the DALNET member libraries, the citizens of Michigan, and national and international patrons through OCLC participation. The Libraries/Instructional Design Studio staffs are committed to educating students and faculty in library research skills, to providing diverse and accessible collections, to establishing an environment conducive to research and learning, and to expanding information availability through technological networks. The competent, dedicated, and multicultural Libraries/Instructional Design Studio personnel are committed to excellence of services.
Vision Statement:
Libraries/Instructional Design Studio will be recognized as the information hub for the University of Detroit Mercy community. Libraries/Instructional Design Studio personnel will facilitate development of and access to information in support of the University's teaching and learning in a climate where questions, language barriers, and rights of others are respected, acknowledged and welcomed.
