Computers in the Library
Both the McNichols Campus Library and the Dental Library have public workstations for Internet access; the workstations also have Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
An Epson Expression 1640XL - Graphics Arts flatbed color image scanner is available for student, faculty, or staff use in each of the libraries.
The primary service provided by the libraries is access to information. The library computer workstations are dedicated to accessing information through the library catalog, subscription databases, and the Internet. In addition, most of the McNichols Campus Library and the Dental Library workstations have the Microsoft Office 2007 suite installed for the convenience of users who need to use a word processing or spreadsheet program.
Wireless access has been installed in the McNichols Campus Library and the Dental Library. Laptop and hand-held computer users who have wireless network capability can access the Internet from any location in or around the library. Electrical outlets are available on all floors for laptop plug-in.
